Our Focus

Field Research

Our initiatives are driven by an incremental and iterative research process.  We identify regenerative practices that have worked elsewhere, adapt and conduct field tests in the Sankuru to identify what is appropriate and useful to the social, economic, and environmental contexts of the Sankuru.

Farmer Engagement

We engage farmers in a training process were we share regenerative principles, practices, and their potential impact.  We conduct communal open air trainings in the local language to maximize impact.  Our process is open, transfers competency, and we accompany farmers to encourage and learn from them.

Community Development

We are dedicated to building communities of farmers and local stakeholders that are able to participate in a regenerative, equitable and fruitful future in the Sankuru.

Our Approach

Communities in the Sankuru have incredible potential and their needs are profound.  Because the Sankuru is geographically isolated we are committed to begin with local resources. Small improvements in agricultural outputs can have a significant impact on quality of life.  Understanding these realities we begin where people understand themselves to be and invite them to a journey toward improved outcomes.  We begin with a profound respect for the culture and belief that people must discover and form their own futures.  Consequently our commitment is to walk with farmers at their pace from dependency on slash and burn toward a regenerative future with improved social, economic, and environmental outcomes.
